What's the difference between " image" and " impression"?
I'm not sure about the difference of these two words.
I have an image that Japan is an expensive country.
I have an impressions that Japan is an expensive country.
Is there any diffeence about the meaning of these two?
Please help me. I always confused which word I should use.

impression is a quick study that may be missing detail and facts. For a better understanding, more study would be needed.
Image is the two dimensional depiction or representation of something often taken by a camera- but may be made with some other means.

I think maybe the subtle difference between the 2 words is as the follows:
If you have an image of something or someone, you have a picture or idea of them in your mind.
Your impression of a person or thing is what you think they are like, usually after having seen or heard them.
