Both these 2 words mean two, so can you tell me the difference between them?

这样说吧，单人旁的俩一般指人。 “俩”后面不再接“个”字或其他量词 
而"两"一般后面会跟量词吧，例如，两个，两斤，等 
例如： 咱们俩。 咱们两个人。

we use 俩 lonely  we cant use 俩 with any 量词 
so 俩 =  两个
那姐妹两长得真漂亮。 is not correct  however we can understand this....:D
so you should say 那姐妹俩长得真漂亮。 or 那两个姐妹长得真漂亮。
AND
in offical word we dont use 俩  this charater is just for communcation/conversation
