An idea - 喜羊羊 episode transcripts! Hello/你好, I've been looking around the Chinese internet for good learning material, but it's hard to understand most programs. But I've found that the kid's show 喜羊羊与灰太狼 is really excellent, because the vocabulary is basic and they always put the hanzi at the bottom of the screen. http://www.soku.com/search_video/q_%E5%96%9C%E7%BE%8A%E7%BE%8A Only one thing keeps it from being perfect: I can't find transcripts of the episodes, so it's hard to study new hanzi and vocabulary that I see in the show. So, maybe some of our Chinese italki friends could make them? Just listen to the episode and type out the dialogue? No translation necessary--that's my job. I'd be happy to exchange some help with English proofreading/writing. Maybe some other learners would be interested too? We could put up a whole list of transcripts as a common learning tool.

I'm glad to join you~ But....you know, 喜洋洋 has hundreds of episodes. I think you may need to assign the tasks, rule the format of the transcripts.... Anyway, contact me~

it's not “Just listen to the episode and type out the dialogue” it's pause the cartoon while watching and type the subtitles given at the bottom thus the task is even simpler and a certain educational establishment ;) has already done the job which is one DVD disk which includes: Jolly Goat with original Chinese versions (500 episodes) + English subtitles + Chinese pinyin subtitles + wordlists for first 0-100 and 100-200 episodes in ABC order and that's a private property aka pirating and violating the copyright

Hi, Rob, I am glad to help too, but not sure what you're after, English subtitles or Chinese pinyin subtitles? Perhaps to start with a couple of episodes will be sufficient. I watch a similar show (Peppa Pig) in Dutch. But for weeks i have been watching just a couple of episodes repetitively, which actually works really well for me.
