Please tell me what does "I'm a guy, who's a guy, been a guy," mean. Please tell me what does "I'm a guy, who's a guy, been a guy," mean. Although my dictation is wrong, that is dialogue by the movie of Larry Crowne.I found the Script of it. http://www.imsdb.com/scripts/Larry-Crowne.html MERCEDES TAINOT (SERIOUS EYES) You look at Bra-Busters Triple-X expecting me to pretend I don't know or I don't care. I do both and don't like it. DEAN TAINOT It may look like I don't work hard around here, Mercy. But I do. I'm just a guy who's a guy being a guy when you're not around... She walks away. DEAN TAINOT (CONT'D) And walking away is great for a relationship... First of all, I was just listening by my ears. That's why I wrote "Although my dictation is wrong". But I had to write it "Maybe my dictation was wrong, but please guess what I tried to say." Anyway, I have a good experience this time by asking. Thank you for your being patient and understanding.

It makes sense with the proper script - there's a big difference between "been" and "being"! "I'm just a guy who's a guy being a guy when you're not around" is the whole quote you need. "I'm just a guy" - I'm a regular person "who's a guy" - who happens to be male, with male thoughts "being a guy when you're not around" - and I act like a typical male, ie. look at women (in this case, internet porn), when I don't have to behave in front of you.

I'm a guy: --> I am a male. Who's a guy --> Is that person a male? Is that person a male or female? Been a guy --> He was a male, but now he has made some changes to transform into a female. But that is my interpretation, I haven't seen the movie. Hope someone on here has. :)

I have not seen the movie. But according to Google, the phrase is "I'm a guy who's a guy being a guy." Context would help me deduce the meaning, but my guess is it's "I am a man who is acting like a man." The sentence is silly though. Edit: the full script confirms my suspicions.
