Glance - look briefly or hurriedly
Peep - look quickly, through a crack, around a corner, or over an object (for example)
glare - look at something with an angry or disapproving expression
gaze - look or stare steadily, usually contemplatively
glimpse - look briefly or partially, but because the actions was interrupted or blocked by something else, rather than the person choosing to stop looking
