Hi Mamie :) それはあなたに会えて喜びです. I'd say no, these terms are different. Chores are things to do regularly that you'd maybe prefer not to do, like dusting and cleaning, and washing your clothes. Household affairs are other things to do with the home. Possibly making sure the insurance policy is up to date, you know when different companies will charge/bill you for the tv or the internet, the utility bills (water, electric, gas).
So, household chores = laborious and repetitious tasks.
Household affairs = things to do with the smoothe running of the home
