作动词用的时候都可以，作名词用的时候你可以说“我的工作没意思”，不能说“我的上班没意思”。 其实工作是“V+V”的短语，可以当动词也可以当名词；而“上班”是“V+N”短语，因为还有“下班”，“加班”等等，只能当动词用不能当名词用。

If the one do you pronounce smoothly, you can use that one depend on the conversation. I think both of them are Ok. That is the same rule of English pronunciation :)))

In a sense, there is not much distinction between them. Or maybe you can say like this 我每天上午八点到下午五点半都在工作。 我的上班/工作时间时上午八点到下午五点半。

每天上午八点钟到（下午）五点半上班 or... 每天上午八点钟到（下午）五点半工作 加了“下午”，两句都可以！上班和工作的区别不大，在这里可以都可以作为动词使用。但是就像前面的人说的，句子里提到了“上午”，就一定要说下午。

if you want to use both two words, it would said," 我从上午八点钟开始上班，工作到下午五点半“ .这听起来比较顺。
