Actually, use this one: ' It's a standard apostrophe. The ` is actually a grave accent, and used to mark letters. It's used as a substitute for the apostrophe if the keyboard doesn't have an actual apostrophe. We'll understand what you mean of course, but it's a bit of a giveaway that you don't really know the difference.

Hi, When you want to give a word special emphasis in writing (make it stand out from the rest of the words,) use the quotation mark on either side of the word. For example: I went to the store "and" then I went to school. The single quotation mark is only used for a quotation within a quotation (or to highlight a word within a quotation.)
