내가 제일 잘 나가
2ne1 has a song called "I'm the best" and they repeat this sentence a lot.
내가 제일 잘 나가
But why does she say "naega jeil jal LAGA" instead of "naega jeil jal NAGA"?
I've been studying batchin for a while now, but I couldn't explain that. Or am I just hearing it wrong ?

You have got good ears and in fact you have exactly heard how it is pronounced. There is a little feature in korean language called sound transformation and it is probably quite hard to master well at the beginning. You have said that you have studied 받침 already. If you ever see ㄹ followed by ㄴ or ㄴ followed by ㄹ everything will transform to ㄹ, period. So 진리 does not sound like what you expect but it will sound more like 질리. There are other rules as well but assure yourself that you are hearing what it is supposed to sound like.
In fact, you have to get adapted to this in order to be able to look up words in dictionary. What you hear may in fact be the transformed form and if you aren't aware of the rules then you just can't locate the word in dictionary at all.
