I was used to ... and I used to ... are the same?
Hello,
I have learned that this expression "to be used to" usually goes with Gerund like
I am used to getting up early.
I was used to practicing yoga every night.
My question is that whether "I was used to practicing yoga every night." is similar to "I used to practice yoga every night."
Please help me with this question,
Thanks in advance. :)

If you say: "I am used to doing something", it means that you are accustomed to doing it or familiar with it. You can also say: "I'm used to" with a noun.
If you say: "I used to practice yoga every night", it means that in the past you did yoga every night.

This is a little bit complicated, but yes, you can use them both. They don't truly mean the same thing, but they can be used in similar ways, particularly in casual conversation.
Rosia explained the meaning of each one well.
