It should sound like a 'T', like "stick" or "stiff". Similar to "investing", "enlisting", or "destiny".

Both T's take the normal pronunciation.

You're right. It sounds like a "d". But don't make an effort to say "d". Just pronounce a very lazy "t", and you'll have it!
