What is the right word ?
I know that the english word is "turtle" for the French word "tortue", but I have seen recently the word "turtoise". Is the both word right ? or have I a mistake ?

In British English, a tortoise lives on land and a turtle lives in water. They look similar, both having a shell, but are different creatures.

A turtle and tortoise are similar animals. Turtle, at least in the area of the world I live in, would be a term that could apply to both (although not technically correct). See
