random doubts Hi everyone! I am writing an abstract of a paper about overnapping and I got stuck on the following sentence: "the paper is about overnapping and it claims that if you do, you might have health problems" In fact, I was wondering whether it is ok to write "is about overnapping and it claims that if you do".. I mean, overnapping isn't a verb so probably saying "if you do" next isn't proper. Am I wrong?

This article is about overnapping (sleeping too much?) claims that this might cause health problems OR It is claimed that overnapping (sleeping too much) might cause health problems.

"Overnapping" sounds a little comical and cute - it sounds like you invented the word for fun. "Sleeping too much" or "oversleeping" (ie. beyond your regular sleep at night) is more suitable for an academic paper.
