majiru or majiwaru? 交じるか交わる
Hello everyone! どうも皆さんこんにちは!
I have ran into a little conundrum!
I'm trying to write down in my journal, "Yesterday, I associated with my new friends."
So, I wrote down 昨日私は新しい友達と交わりました。 However, I discovered that 交わる I can also mean intercourse, yikes! >.< I've noticed that 交じる, can be used for "associated" or "mingle" 昨日私は新しい友達と交じりました。
Can anyone help me figure out which is the correct verb for associate? Is it majiru, majiwaru, or some other word?
Thank you,
Kai

交わる・交じる 交わる は いっしょにはなしをする in English meet and do something means transtive verb so you are exmaple 昨日私は新しい友達と交わりました is ok but uselly we say 昨日私は新しい友達と会いました or 昨日私は新しい友達と交流しました。 as normal our sence 交わる mean is that to have personal relation (private) so better use 会う is better and common if you want use 交わる you should use "交流する”. next 交じる mean is to mix or mingle ( two thing mixed by thoseself ) intranstive verb. 昨日私は新しい友達と交じりました。
is mistake example 彼はたくさんの人に交じっている場所が分からなくなる (He went into many people and we can to found him ) 川が近くで交わる (this river run into other river nearby here)
