Does the meaning of "out of it" is close to "beat"? how do I use them?

I usually say, "I'm out of it" if I can't pay attention or focus on something. "Beat" can have many meanings, but the meaning closest to "I'm out of it" is being tired. I would say "I'm beat" if I feel tired and don't want to do anything.
