Is the word 未遂 only used in legal terminology?
Is the word 未遂 only used in legal terminology? Can you give me any examples using this word that are not to do with law and criminal offences?

yes, it's a legal terminology,
even though i joked to my friend , a way to exaggerate the situation : 他偷吃我的饼干未遂，被我抓到了。as if he had committed a criminal（for having tried to steal my cookies ）

I'm agree with Key,and 未遂 ordinary be used in the formal and authoritative situation.
