In the U.S.A. it is the day after Thanksgiving. It is called black Friday because it is a day that "most" stores have huge sales (lower prices) for shopping. This is the biggest shopping day of the year! It is the day that sparks many to begin their Christmas shopping. Note: It always falls on a Friday because Thanksgiving always fall on a Thursday.

Lots of stores are having sales! You can buy things for cheaper. It's a day that everyone is out shopping trying to buy things for low prices.
