Sentence structure for resume
I am quite confused about the grammar structure that should be used in resume. I am trying to describe what i have done for my work experience but not quite sure why some sentences start with normal verb, some with gerund or even noun. For example;
Assisting in local community.
Communicate with more than 20 members via weekly e-mails and timely website updates.
Communicated with a variety of customers on menu orders.
Could someone please help me with these structure types.

It is usually better to use an action verb to describe what you did rather than a noun. It gives the impression of your strong work ethic and shows you are actively making a difference.

You want a verb, which can be present tense for a current job or past tense for a past job.
Avoid vague verbs like "communicated" and "assisted".
Include the results you achieved.
Often, include how you accomplished something.
Maybe you could write,
"Improved the lives of local people by ..." For the first one
I can't offer a suggestion for the others, as "communicated" is so vague.
By the way, I teach a resume writing course if you are interested. Look at my teacher profile.
