Here are answers for my country: 1. I'd say they're on time 60% of the time. You have to flag down buses at bus stops, or they simply won't stop! 2. It's normal to stand in line. Some taxi ranks have strict queueing rules and even a conductor, due to some recent deaths caused by drunken fights over a taxi. 3. At peak hour, buses are full but not packed. There is a set limit of people allowed on a bus, and the driver has the right to refuse passengers and ignore stops if the bus is full. Buses and taxis follow strict regulations in my country. It's also normal to thank the bus driver when getting off the bus. 4. If you have a cheap flight, then you need to buy another ticket. If it's with a major airline, they're a lot more flexible and will even work with other airlines to get you on your way. 5. Trains are more reliable than buses. I've rarely encountered late or missing trains at home, but I know it can happen during peak hour. 6. Yes, we need to change but I can't recall where. Perhaps Hawaii or Los Angeles, or both. 7. If it's a quiet residential street, then yes you can park in front of your home. For busier streets, you would need to park somewhere else, or at least in your garage. Even if you live in an apartment, one parking space is usually reserved for you, on the property. People who live close the the city centre but don't have a car usually rent out their parking spot to workers in the centre.

I agree - beware of translating requests literally from Russian to English! We don't have a ты/вы difference in our grammar anymore, so your politeness in Russian is lost, and the result in English ("Answer the questions") sounds rude. Just add a few more polite words, and it'll be OK: "Could you answer these questions, please?"

People are usually happy to answer questions here, but it helps if the person asking the question is polite. How about saying 'Please'? 'Could you?' 'Would you mind?' It costs nothing to be polite!

1. They are pretty punctual. Occasionally they are late, but in general British public transport is fairly reliable. 2. We queue. Even if there isn't an actual line of people, say, at a bus stop, we are always aware of who arrived first and let the people who arrive first get on the bus first. Taxi ranks have queues. Queue-jumping is unthinkable. 3. It depends where and when. City centre buses in rush hours are crowded, but at other times you can usually find a seat. 4. It depends on the airline and the type of ticket you have. I have missed a plane twice, both times to international destinations within Europe, and both times I was allowed on the next flight free of charge. 5. Engineering works are generally scheduled and passengers are told in advance of changes to the timetable. In the cases of unforeseen delays, trains are sometimes cancelled or delayed, but this rarely adds more than an hour to a journey. If you are seriously delayed, you can often claim compensation or a refund from the train company. 6. There are several direct flights per day from the UK to New York. 7. I can park in front of my home. Most families prefer to live in houses, rather than flats, and the majority of houses in the UK (even modest, low-cost houses) have either a small garage or their own driveway where you can park a car. Why don't you repost this in discussions? You may get more answers if you do.
