When must one use the Simple past in French? When I studied French in school my French teacher told me that French learners should not care about learning how to use this grammar tense, because according to him, this tense can only be found in books. However, I've seen in some of my corrections that French speakers make corrections using the simple past. When do I have to use this grammar tense? Thanks a lot in advance for your answers.
