Hi Scotty! As Paul said: To think = pensar / To believe = creer / To créate = crear. "(Yo creo)" means "I create" but also "I believe". We use "creer" to express that we think something is real or not or when we trust someone or something. No creo en fantasmas = I don't believe in ghosts. No te creo = I don't believe you. No (lo) creo = I don't think so. We use "creer" or "pensar" to ask for opinions: ¿Crees que debemos hacerlo? = Do you think we have to do it. ¿Piensas que debemos hacerlo? = Do you think we have to do it (the same as above) We use "creer" or "pensar" when we almost took a decisión: Pienso que debería ir = I think I should go. Creo que debería ir = I think I should go. Of course we use "pensar" also as "to think" Estoy Pensando = I'm thinking. But we use it to say another things, but you don't have to worry about them for now since they're not easy things and need some practice. Hi Scotty and Paul, as Paul says, the verb is "creer" (believe). Creer and pensar work pretty much like "think" and "believe" in English, that means that when talking about making a guess, wether it's a wild or a educated one, you can use both. Anyway, both verbs have also specific connotations, just like in English. - No te creo: I don't believe you - Estoy pensando en mi familia: I'm thinking about my family - ¿Te puedes creer que no he llegado a casa todavía? : Can you believe that I haven't arrived home yet? - Tanto pensar me está volviendo loco: So much thinking is driving me crazy. It's "creer" no Crear. "Crear" it's to create or invent

The verb is creer, which means 'to believe'. You can use pensar and creer in much the same way, I'm not aware of any specific cases where you would use one instead of the other although I'll be interested to see what native speakers have to say.
