Hey Sachin, this is an interesting question. It's probably best to master a language before trying to get rid of an accent, but it's definitely possible. As long as you can tell the difference between how you sound and how native speakers (of a language or accent) sound, it's possible to sound closer to them.
Just find words that you pronounce differently, and keep practicing until you can move your tongue and lips so that it sounds like the native speaker. This takes a lot of work, but not as much work as learning a new language!
It's just like learning an accent in your own language. You need to train your ear to hear differences, and train your voice to produce those differences. A lot of physical training is involved.

It is better to get rid of your own accent first when talking in foreign language. Then it will be easier to adap to a certain accent - which is in your case if neutural American I believe.
I'd suggest to check out Amy Walker on youtube.

Why do you need to speak like an American ? As long as you can speak english without a trace of your mother tongue"s accent , you are way already ahead of others with your english
Unless you live there , maybe , in time , your speech might changed slightly .
I lived in London for 5 years , and i still dont sound like an englishman , but i do speak well.
To each his own anyway .)
