Which one is right, 'They wear a hat' or 'They wear hats'?
So two people were a hat respectively. Should I say 'They wear hats' then?
Thank you!

I would say "they wear hats", since the subject is plural. You could even say "they both wear hats".
However, if you said "they wear a hat", most people would probably understand that they both are wearing seperate hats and not the same one :)

Usually, I would describe it as "two people are wearing hats" or another example "There are two people, one is wearing a hat".
