Sachito is 100% correct, but if you don't understand, な is a particle which you use to say A is B. E.g. "ちさないぬ” "Dog is small" Although, in most cases, I don't think you drop the last syllable. Maybe that's for all い adjectives?

You cannot use "小さな" to finish the phrase. You have to use this form followed by a noun. "小さい" you can use in both cases.
このカバンは小さな。 -> false
この小さなカバンはわたしのです。
