Question about Russian saying:
What does this saying mean? It seems to me like it means: "If you are afraid of wolves, don't go into the forest."
But I also read that it could mean something like: "Even if what you have to do is hard, you must complete it."

It means 1) if you are afraid of difficulties you should not even start 2) if you want to gain a success you should take the risk
= nothing ventured, nothing gained

The both versions are correct. If you don't want (or can't) to do smth you can say: "Волков бояться...". But if you want to do smth you say: "Oh, come on, I'll do it!!!

Everytime someone asks a question in Russian or in Arabic, I feel like I have started to read it in English and then in a code.
