I don't want to make things so tortuous “To a guy" or "For a guy"?

Hi Cady,
This sentence would sound best as: "I don't want to make things so tortuous for someone." I'm assuming "a guy" is not being used to refer to a specific guy, because otherwise you'd have to say "the guy."
Please let me know if I didn't answer this question or if something isn't clear.

Hi. The structure is like this:
make + noun + adjective + for + person
Examples:
The teacher enjoys making the exam difficult for the students.
I don't want to make life hard for myself.
The government is making it impossible for visitors.
The security personnel at the airport make travel very stresful for tourists.
