How to answer "Palez vous français?"
Bon jour!

If someone ask me if I speak French (Parlez vous français?), may I answer “Je parle un peu”? Or, would I have to say “Je parle un peu français”?
Is there a kind of short answer for this question?

Bonjour! (it is one word)

A short  answer would be: Un petit peu

You will also more often hear a declarative sentence with rising intonation instead of inversion for questions.
