Trees and roofs can Blow off, blow away , blow over in a storm , which verb to use ?
My attempt
The roof was blown away
The roof was blown off the house
The tree was blown over/ away by the wind
Any clues ?

You are less likely to use the first one, as 'blown away' has now come to mean amazed or astounded by something.
A roof can 'blow off' as you suggest, whereas a tree is likely to have been blown over (unless it has literally been blown into a different place)
