Hi Vera,
"Life" is a noun that describes the characteristics of all living things. For example, something that has life needs air, food and water for sustenance. It can also grow and interact with other living things around it. All these characteristics differentiate living things from non-living things, which do not harbour "life".
Someone may lead a happy "life", while another leads a miserable one. In this case, we are referring to the living conditions surrounding our existence.
An organism that has "life" (noun) is "alive" (adjective). There is another use of "alive": someone who is full of energy and spirit is "alive". We can also say that this person is "full of life".
"life" can also be an adjective, used to describe something that exists for a lifetime (e.g life membership, life imprisonment.)
"live" is a verb which means to have life or continue to be in existence. (e.g He lives in happiness. / We live (verb) a happy life (noun).)
Lastly, "live" can also be an adjective. A "live" TV broadcast is shown on TV as the events unfold. A "live" wire can give you a nasty electric shock.
A good way to differentiate between "life" and "live" would be that "life" is any characteristic that only living things possess, while "live" would be the act of going through "life".
