When I decided to study English five years ago, I met two irresponsible Chinese English-teachers. Both were not only impatient with me, but also told me quite often, "you’re really wasting your time learning English, you have no talent". Though this didn't make me feel depressed and give-up. I decided to look for English teacher number three. What was fortunate was that I eventually found a native English speaker to help me improve. I was moved by the way he was always patient teaching me, and meeting my needs. This is why I was able to get ahead of my peers who had started at my level of English language ability.
