I think Istanbul Asian side is very western and touristy. Bursa is more traditional Turkish, Tourism has not altered the city as much as other places. Kuşadası is very English there are parts where I thought I was in an English coastal resort. Izmir is very liberal and more chaotic, I saw night time behaviour there that I thought only happened in western Countries. Turkey is a very beautiful country. Correct my Turkish because I forget the suffixes, to use for place names, and for east and west and western - eastern. I like cities not the beaches. Bursa and Izmir I like but i have not seen other Turkish cities yet.
