"to live a full life"
Is it possible to use in English "to live a full life" expression in meaning "live a life full of activities, fun etc."?
I've found 'live life to the full', is it better to use it instead of "to live a full life"?

"to live a life at its fullest" is the one you need for your context

It would really depend on the context, but generally when someone has "lived a full life", it suggests that their life is reaching its end, and that, in hindsight, their life was a good one. When someone says they want to "live life to the fullest" it is as you said - they want to live a life full of joy and wonder.
