Spanish equivalent of "makes me + emotion"
Hi! In English we use "makes me" to express that something gives you a particular feeling or emotion.
This movie makes me sad.
Driving makes me angry.
Reading makes me tired.
This seems more difficult in Spanish.
I know: Me da miedo.
Me pone nerviosa.
Me vuelve loca.
How do I know which verb to use and are there other ways that I'm missing? Any tips are appreciated!

Hi Rebecca!
Sometimes we have to struggle a bit when we are learning a new language. Basically, memorize is part of the hard work. Particularly in case of using expressions.
A bit of help could be:
1. This movie makes me sad.
Option A) Esta película me pone triste.
Option B) Esta película me hace sentir triste (makes me feel = me hace sentir).
Option C) Esta película me entristece.
2. Driving makes me angry.
Angry = enojado/enfadado.
Option A) Manejar me pone enojado / Manejar me pone enfadado.
Option B) Manejar me hace enojar / Manejar me hace enfadar (verb in infinitive: enojar/enfadar)
Option C) Manejar me enoja / Manejar me enfada.
3. Reading makes me tired.
Option A) Leer me pone cansado.
Option B) Leer me hace sentir cansado (makes me feel = me hace sentir).
Option C) Leer me cansa.
Try to practice and memorize at least one of the options. Sometimes the structure of the sentence changes according to the action. If this is a feeling, sensation, state of mind, etc.
Kind regards

As you can see by yourself from your examples there is no rule ,these are expressions typical of the language that you have to learn as you learn words of vocabulary.
If you use one in stead of the other people will make fun of you .[emoji][emoji][emoji]
