give up (something) or give up (from) something? Hi! I wanted to know if in English it is required a preposition after the phrasal verb "give up". Never give up what you really like. is it correct to say "give up (what you really like)", or should we say: "give up (of/from) what you really like"? Any help will be appreciated.

The correct structure is 'give up something', so no preposition is needed. On the other hand, we can say 'give up on something/someone', which would have a different meaning (you expect that thing or person to fail). Hope it helps!

Not a native speaker, but i think its give up "on" something. But better wait for someone who is really sure.
