英文中"stand in someone's shoes" 的意思是能够设身处地地为某个人着想。

不过将中国文化中博大精深的谚语、成语简单翻译成一句干巴巴的英文是一件既可惜又有点难为情的事。

i am not sure if this is the most suitable one, maybe " to put oneself in somebody’s shoes", i.e. to put yourself in their shoes.
