(except using "around"to say it) or is it ok to use ten-something ? for example , if i want to talk about temperature can i say in this way: the weather is cool today , its ten-something degree celsius? thanks a lot

You can use "ish". "What is the temperature?" "It's ten ish" Though this is better used for time, it is applicable in other situations. "What time will you be home?" "Ten ish". This is from a "British" English perspective.

You can say "it's in the teens" for 12-19 degrees otherwise, use what you said -- 'around 10'
