Passports
In Russia everybody has an official passport (an ID, but it's a real passport, not a plastic card).
If you want to travel abroad you must have another passport. So most of the Russian citizents have two passports.
Tell me please about the UK. Do people have the same thing there? Or do they use ID plastic cards like in the USA?

We don't have ID cards at all. In the UK, we don't have to carry any form of personal identification.
The two official forms of identification are passports and driving licences. However, if you don't drive and don't go abroad, you don't need to have either of these things. Nobody is obliged to have them.
I remember when, as a student, I first travelled outside the UK and discovered two things: I found out that in other countries, police were armed, and people were forced to carry documents on them. I found both these things rather unsettling.

In Canada, carrying identification is not required and a passport for international travel is the only pure "identity" document.
In reality, most adults drive a car, so most people carry a government-issued driver's license. In certain situations, such as a young person buying alcohol, the person must show a government-issued ID such as a driver's license or passport to prove their age. In other situations, such as registering for school, a document with name and address such as a water bill, an electricity bill, or a driver's license is satisfactory.
