Here is the back of the class. Or Here is in the back of the class.
2. If I'm sitting at the end on a bus or at the end in a car. (or point at a photo of inside a bus or inside a car). Should I say:
Here is the back of the bus. Or Here is on the back of the bus.
3. If I stand behind the house. Should I say:
Here is the back of the house. Or Here is at the back of the house.
4. Should I say:

Are you identifying individuals in pictures? In the case you would say 'There HE is, in the back row'
If you are highlighting the whole row, 'here is the back row'
We would be more likely to say 'This is the back of the class/bus/house' if identifying parts of something to another.
So 'This is Japan would be more commonly heard/accepted'
