Are these sentences OK? We both had our chances to win the game, but I won at last. Unfortunately, in these kind of matches one of the players has to lose. I gave it all I had, but I couldn't win. It was the most exciting game I ever watched.

Native English speaker from USA. Your second sentence needs kinds not kind. These and matches are plural, so you need kinds to be plural as well. These kinds of matches...
