The use of the verb "touch" Could we use touch/feel the results? If no, why

It depends what the results are. The results of cooking is food, which you can touch or feel. The results of a test is a grade which you cannot. He could feel the results of his training. = He could notice the results of his training. Results can apply to SO many different things.
