We wouldn't say 'make a story'. Instead, we would use other verbs. You would use the verbs "to do" or "to put on" when you are indicating that you're going to take a picture/video for your story. For example: "I want to put on a story" or "shall we do a story?" Then you would use the verbs "to put on" or "to upload" when the picture/video has already been taken. For example: "I'm putting it on now" or "shall we upload the story now or later?" I hope this makes sense! If there's anyone else better at explaining this then have at it haha.

You can simply say 'I'm gonna 'story' this' or 'I'm gonna Instagram story this'. Saying 'I'll make a story on Instagram' works as well. Also it's story not storie. Hope this helps
