How to improve my listening or oral English?
I can't follow other when I speak to someone because I don't know what's the meaning and I can only undertand the meaning at the begining of the whole word. But if you write the sentence in paper, I may know what are you talking about. So my mark of the part of listening is very low. What can I do to improve my listening?

Year, it's really this situation. This problem makes me embarassed. In forgien class, I'm afraid of our forgien language teacher talking to me because emm... I don't know what's he saying or I don't know how to express what I want to speak. It's confined by my vocabulary.haha... Thanks for your comment. Good day.

A good way to enhance your listening skills is to watch an English show or movie with subtitles. Try and focus on finding the vocabulary you know in the movie/show.
Once you hear the characters say a word/words you know, pause the video.
Read the subtitles and see if you understand what they are saying.
Rewind slightly continue the video, and try repeat what they are saying out loud. You'll find yourself being able to identify what is being spoken about alot better. Then try and watch the same movie/show again without subtitle, this will help you find out how much you understand. by doing this regularly your listening skills will improve.
Having more conversations in English can also really help reinforce the vocabulary you have learnt. You will slowly start to understand what is being said to you.

I found exactly the same problem when learning Italian. To start with it was just a string of sounds, unless spoken very slowly. Then bit by bit my brain would pick out words from the string of sound. As Isabel says, just expose your ears to as much as possible, and you'll be surprised how suddenly you will be deciphering more and more. I found watching a soap opera is quite good, as it's fairly obvious what is happening, even if you can't understand exactly

A nice way to improve your listening is by watching films with subtitles. Even better is watching a film you know very well, in English. Exposing yourself to the language as much as possible is very helpful. For example, listening to podcasts while you walk to work/school/uni etc. Listen to the radio in the background...
