Howdy Tetiana,
That phrase is grammatically correct, however in English the term "paid off" applies only to specific circumstances.
If a person or entity is "paying off" somebody else, it has connotations of underhanded dealings. For example you could say "The corporation paid off the politician to escape paying taxes."
It can also mean to deal with bills or debts. In this context you could say "I finally paid off my loan."
Alternatively, something inanimate or abstract can "pay off" for a person. This means something like an investment, gamble, or effort results in a beneficial outcome. So you could say "Doing the job well paid off for him". However this is subtly different from what you wrote because it credits the individual's good work with the positive outcome, rather than implicitly crediting the person's employer as your phrase seems intended to do.
The way I interpret your phrase I think maybe "rewarded" would be a better choice.

Normally we would just say "He was paid for a job well done." - but that doesn't mean other perks, only money. So, you could say "He was rewarded for a job well done." - and that doesn't specify whether it is just money or money AND other perks.
There is a phrasal verb 'to pay off' , but that is used in two different ways:
1. to describe a situation where effort is rewarded, and often isn't about money. For example, "The hours she spent learning English paid off when she went on holiday to America."
Or
2. for situations where someone is bribed or paid to leave a job. For example, "He threatened to tell the police, but the criminals paid him off to keep quiet."

In U.S. english: He got paid for a job well done. Meaning, he did a good job, and got paid. When you say "he got paid off", it implies, at least in this country, a more negative meaning.
