How to say 'depicted', 'represented' or 'portrayed' in the context of television?
Hello everyone. I'm currently writing a speech for a class about how different groups of people are represented in a certain television show and I want to make sure I use the correct word for 'represented' (or 'depicted' or 'portrayed').
For example, if I wanted to say "I researched the ways that women were represented/depicted/portrayed in a television show", should I say it like 「私は女性がテレビ番組にどのように描かれたかについて調べました」? Or is there a better word, like 表す or 映し出す.
Many thanks for the help! よろしくお願いします。

「描かれる」sounds fine to me, whereas 表す or 映し出すwould be incorrect in this context.
