nya is a possessive pronouns for the third person : use it after the noun to show the ownership. e.g: his painting is really good (Lukisannya sangat bagus) his painting = lukisannya

nya means dia (him/her) or (he/she)
example :
KataNYA saya baik (HE/SHE said i am kind)
saya akan pergi denganNYA (i will go with HIM/HER)

You use -nya when you are talking or explaining about possession.
For example:
Buku milik dia.
You can change the "dia" word with -nya. So, the sentence will become buku miliknya.
