If you 'like' something or somebody you think they are enjoyable, attractive or interesting. Liking a situation means approving of it. 'Like' could also refer to a preference. It is sometimes sort of a fondness as well.
As for 'love' ,when you love someone you feel romantically or sexually attracted to them and they are very important to you. There is an element of attachment ,that doesn't exist when 'liking' someone on the other hand.
'Love' is a very strong feeling of affection. To love someone involves behaving in a kind and caring way towards them.
An emphasis on liking something very much could be expressed as 'loving it' as well:
"We loved the food so much".

LIKE is only an attraction, or wish something, LOVE is a strong feeling

LIKE is less than LOVE... For example:
I like French fries but I love barbecue. Means I won't change the barbecue for anything.
You got it?
I hope it helps.
