I mean, how do you say the numbers. For example in english we say the year 2010: as two thousand and ten or twenty ten. Is is the same way in German? Zwei tausend zehn?

Yes and no.

"Zweitausendzehn" or "Zweitausendundzehn" (Zweitausend und Zehn).
"Zwanzigzehn" is not correct. But you can hear it sometimes. (From people who have heard it in English before?)

1008 = Eintausendacht
1130 = Elfhundertdreißig
1399 = Dreizehnhundertneunundneunzig
1800 = Achtzehnhundert
1985 = Neunzehnhundertfünfundachtzig
2000 = Zweitausend
2001 = Zweitausendeins
2027 = Zweitausendsiebenundzwanzig
