what is the difference between "memoir" and "memory"?

"Memory" is a function of the mind, and sometimes its content.
"Memoirs" are things you keep. They remind you of stuff.

Memoir usually means the past. Like you are creating your memoir of something that is very important to you, like the person you love. Memory is something that you are trying to remember. Question, " How good is your memory/" It's like how well do you remember things or person, that's memory like the present time..

ok i got it after a little searching;)
memoirs [plural]:::a book by someone important and famous in which they write about their life and experiences:
Lady Thatcher had just published her memoirs.
memory:::something you remember [countable usually plural] something that you remember from the past about a person, place, or experience
