Would you understand if I wrote the wrong Thai letter with the right sound in a word? (ex: ฌ instead of ช)
Just curious because so many Thai letters sound alike...if i can't memorize every word's spelling I might occasionally mess up by including a letter that sounds right, but isn't the correct spelling. Any help is appreciated...

what i wanna say is that:
sometimes the wrong(similar alphabets) will lead people to misunderstood.
well, we'll understand you by the contexts of the sentences, but not by individual of the wrong word, which made up by the similar alphabets.
Note: even they give similar sounds( but each of them belong to 1 of the 3 sounds level: high, middle, and low) so this make them sounds differents when they compound with the the same vowels)
i hope i won't make u confused lol
anyway, itz not that serious.
Have fun my friend!

If you write the word but with wrong spelling with the same sounds of alphabet it could understandable but for thais will know its wrong spelling and still know what you're trying to say or write. Dont worry about these two ฌ, ช if you learn to read and write correctly from the first place you know it right away how to write or spell the word.

Yeah I understand Pipe, I was hoping that would be the case. Thanks...hopefully I can just memorize all of the correct spelling, but nobody's perfect. Petchy, unfortunately I don't know enough Thai to write yet, but in the future I'll throw some stuff your way that maybe you can help me correct. Appreciate the responses guys...

In my opinion, if the letter belongs to Thai people or someone who expert in thai, they can guess the right meaning from the sentences. Same as english, if i use wrong word or something, u may guess what i mean, right?
