It was sunny today, but then just like that, we were hit with a monsoon! While we don't call it a monsoon here, the humidity and dampness definitely fit the description I've read in books.
Before I learned about condensation, I used to think the water on the walls was seeping out. Now I understand it's caused by rapid temperature changes, turning the excessive water vapor into visible droplets. My MeeMaw, however, still believes in an element, or perhaps entity called "dampness" that causes it all. She insists that burning some certain joss sticks will help maintain our health and dry up the air. I think she might benefit from reading more about science!

Haha! Possibly true. No need to change any of this.

"It was sunny today, but then, out of nowhere, we were hit with a sudden monsoon! Although we don't typically refer to it as a monsoon here, the high humidity and dampness perfectly match what I've read in books. Before I understood condensation, I used to believe the water on the walls was seeping through. Now, I realize it's caused by rapid temperature changes, which turn excess water vapor into visible droplets. However, my MeeMaw still believes in something she calls 'dampness' as the cause. She insists that burning certain joss sticks will help maintain our health and dry the air. I believe she could benefit from learning more about science!"
